week 6

The main things in my life right now:

*Chinese 1A 我很喜歡寫中文，聽音樂，玩遊戲，睡覺和上網聊天。有時候看電影也很有意思。比方說卡通和恐怖片。Learning pinyin has been really fun! Now I can type anything I want. I think characters look really nice on the screen too. This is like the only class I am doing well in too so it is encouraging!

*Econ 2 Barely got an A on the first quiz! Didn’t do so well on the second one so I need to study more for the third one. I think Sproul is supposed to be a good professor. Even though he is monotone he is clear and reasonable. I hope to be a reasonable person too! We learned about how

*Econ 41 There are a lot of Asian students in this class! That is not as obvious a statement as it seems because there are a lot of students who speak Asian languages here. It’s been interesting hearing international transfer students. Yay for East Asia! >< As for the class itself let’s just say it is my worst.

*Global Studies 1 This is certainly interesting. My TA seems really all-powerful. It’s weird because the stuff we are learning is theoretical yet relevant at the same time. So far I like the pre-requisites better than the class itself :3 But the related classes are really cool!

*Country Story WOW can I just say I love this game so much?!!! My calling as a virtual farmer has definitely been found. I love harvesting, plotting, planting and growing animals. It’s so much fun! I can’t explain it. I also love decorating my farm. Definitely my stress reliever.

*Miscellaneous cute things Ducks, pumpkins, Re-ment, Stitch, Gulu, dogs, penguins, soft blankets and comforters, omelets (which I have to eat less of). Hurray for animals and cotton/plastic things!

*People It’s fine. I am a lot more anti-social this year but it’s all good! I like having time to spend on studying and other relaxing stuff, not to say being with others is not relaxing. It’s been very nice getting to know what kind of things I like and getting reacquainted with goals. I just hope to maintain the friendships and stuff I had before rather than making new friends but not getting closer to anyone.

*Places/things I love the Anderson eating place. I LOVE eating there— it’s just so nice having a place to eat on campus that’s quiet. Doing Sudoku during lunch has been my favorite. I also like going to Untitled in Broad sometimes for a nap or when I am totally exhausted on Thursdays. The SSC lab has also been nice between classes. But most of all I love my bed at home because it is just too comfy!!!

meet the robinsons

It’s really late (1:40AM) with two quizzes tomorrow, but I feel that how I feel at this moment is something I want to remember. Just like the campfire before all the kids arrived. So you know what infinite means… I wonder if I have ever felt that way. I can think of a few moments when I felt “infinite.” Right now my stomach has a cramp and I’m sitting in my dorm room, typing in a bright corner in some darkness yet I feel really… satisfied. Like there seriously isn’t much I can ask for! (except for it not to rain tomorrow)

I feel that I have a good family, good classes, pretty much good people around me for the most part. It seems that I can be okay. To me that’s what those “infinite” moments are: knowing you’ll be fine. However, I don’t want this complacency to get to me. If you demand more from life than just bread and butter, then you’ll be okay. I better remember that. Life has so much to offer!! Why am I hesitant to take it?! Let this be a reminder not to take life for granted.

Full of cliches, but I mean every bit of it.

Monday mornings between 9:30AM- 10:40AM: the best time to blog!!

Paranormal Activity is the scariest movie ever! I can’t believe something fake could leave such a big impact on me but it did! I cannot stop thinking about it at all. Demons are legitly horrible creatures. But they are definitely not real!

On the other hand, catbuses are really great! So is sleeping in thick and warm blankets. I am really glad it is the weather to wear sweaters again yay. I wish i had something more detailed to write.

I have been obsessed with Country Story. It is jsut so fun to play— you get to plant corn, radishes and carrots! You also get to water and plow your friends’ crops. Who doesn’t love that? :)
